Thunderbird will attempt to connect and will fail - complete the following under the Manual configuration section.
On the Account Setup tab, fill in your display name and email address and password.
By default, the "Use Thunderbird as my default mail application" will be checked - uncheck as desired.
Select Standard for Setup Type and click Next.
If asked to allow the program to make changes to your computer, click Yes to agree.

Open the file you just downloaded and click Run when prompted Outgoing Authentication: We recommend Normal password Outgoing SSL: Your preference.
Click on the green Free Download link to download Thunderbird.
